This is a small boat ramp and recreation area along Forest Road 100, on the north side of Bayou Siepe. It's administered co-jointly with Sabine National Forest and Sabine River Authority of Texas, however rules for the national forest apply here. Aside from the boat ramp, there is a vault toilet, but nothing else.

Haley’s Ferry Boat Ramp

There is a $2.00 day use fee here, but it’s our understanding that this does not apply to campers, only to vehicles parked in the parking lot.

Even though dispersed camping is allowed here, the grounds are limited in that you can’t really get a large RV in here. And while a medium-sized motorhome or trailer can work, it becomes problematic when there’s already others camped here. On top of that, there are places where tree branches are low enough it’ll create a problem with high profile vehicles. This place is really just for vans, trucks, and SUVs, and tent campers.

Otherwise, Haley’s Ferry Boat Ramp is an ideal camping destination due to being on a peninsula along Toledo Bend Reservoir. It’s a short, easy walk to the water. There are no trash cans here, you must pack out everything.

In our experience, if you want to come here, definitely get here between Monday and Thursday, because by the weekend, it’s packed.
