Winnie Stowell Park

When you receive your camping permit, you are told to park anywhere in the park, but not on the grass. However, there is no where else to park except on the grass, aside from the parking lot. Also, you are advised not to use the electrical hookups, which there are several of. However, when you come here, you’ll see several RVs, vans, and other vehicles, using them.

Make sure to get your permit in advance because during weekends, the office is closed.

Winnie Stowell Park is a popular destination for the locals of Winnie and Stowell, TX. It’s the site for the “Winnie Stowell Rice Festival” each year, and it’s also the site for rodeos and concerts.

In our experience, the best places to camp is under the trees along 2nd Street.
