Camping at Mt. Pacifico Campground
Located near the western boundary of the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument, the campground is accessed from Palmdale by driving County Road N3 (Angeles Forest Hwy) to Pacifico Mountain Rd (the site of Mill Creek Picnic Area). The first 100-200 feet of Pacifico Mountain Rd is paved, but the rest of the way is firm-packed dirt-gravel, suitable for 2WD, however the last 1 to 2 miles to the campground is very rough, requiring high clearance, 4WD.
Interagency Pass (buy it online) or Adventure Pass (where to buy) required for vehicles parked at this campground.
Mt. Pacifico Campground is a popular destination for star gazers and seekers of amazing sunsets. The Pacific Crest Trail passes 1/2 mile north downslope of the campground.
