Camping at Kalamazoo Campground

While this campground is rarely visited and used, it’s most commonly associated with trout fishing along Kalamazoo Creek, though horseback riding is also another common use. Jeep drivers also stop here for picnics.

Kalamazoo Campground can accommodate full-sized RVs, though the road can get bumpy and narrow in places. As long as you approach during dry weather, you should have no issues. Otherwise, high clearance, 4WD is recommended.

The best route to Kalamazoo Campground starts from the eastern side of the mountains, along NV-893, and then take Kalamazoo Rd heading west. You actually pass through BLM land from here until you reach the mountains/canyon. There are several dispersed campsites within the BLM section of land.
