Chuckwagon Campsite is a free, developed campground offered by South Florida Water Management District. It's one of five campsites located within the KICCO Wildlife Management Area (WMA). This particular campsite is small, suitable only for cars, vans, and pickups, and only just a few at that. Trailers under 20ft long "may" be okay, it's just that there isn't much turn-around.
The Chuckwagon Campsite can be difficult to find. It requires driving through the River Ranch Resort area, and you may find yourself at a guard shack. You can tell them you’re heading to the Chuckwagon Campsite and they should let you through.
The access road to the campsite is gated. You will be given the combination to the lock to get in. There is usually a camp host on site.
Camping at all facilities operated by South Florida Water Management District requires a Special Use License which is free. You can get one online here.
