Allapattah Flats Campground is a free, developed campground operated by South Florida Water Management District. A free "Special Use License" is required to camp here. Vehicles are not allowed into the campground, but there is small parking lot adjacent to it. You must hike your tent and camping gear in.

Camping at Allapattah Flats Campground

Camping at Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Area is restricted to just this campground. Entrance is to the south along SW Martin Highway (County Road 714). There is a locked gate there, which you will be given the combination to after obtaining a permit.

Trailers will not fit here. The parking area can only accommodate cars, vans, and pickups.

This WMA is operated in cooperation with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. There is a small fishing pond at the campground.

Camping at all facilities operated by South Florida Water Management District requires a Special Use Licence which is free. You can get one online here.
