Camping at Centerville Flat Dispersed Campground

Located about 7.3 miles south of Markleeville, CA and about 24 miles west of Topaz Lake, NV, this campground offers free accommodations for those looking set up camp on a first-come, first-serve basis. Despite it’s idyllic surroundings under tall pines and the sound of rushing water along East Fork Carson River, this campground doesn’t see many visitors.

Roads throughout the Centerville Flat Dispersed Campground are all hard-packed dirt, suitable for 2WD vehicles. However, if you want to get up close to the river bank, you’ll need high clearance due to the large rocks scattered about.

Otherwise, this campground has plenty of space for full-sized RVs.

Campfires are allowed here, but a campfire permit is required, which is actually the law across the entire State of California. Permits are free, and can be obtained online here.
