Camping at Deadman Campground
Often closed due to flooding of Deadman Creek and due to threats of forest fire, you should refer to the campground’s official webpage (see link above) to make sure the campground is open, or call the Mono Lake Ranger District for up to date information.
This is primarily a tent camping site, though vans, pickup truck campers, and small trailers are fine.
Deadman Campground is primarily used by hikers and mountain bikers. When open, it’s not as active as other nearby campgrounds due to its smaller campsites.
There is normally a camp host on site. Bears and other wildlife are often seen wandering through camp. There are no trash cans here.
