Camping at Deer Mountain / Chuck Best Snowmobile Park

Access to this campground starts in Weed, CA at the intersection of Interstate 5 and US-97 (Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway), and then travel east 16.7 miles to Deer Mountain Rd (Forest Road 42N12), and then another 3.8 miles to the campground. The entire route is paved.

There are no trash cans or bear-proof cabinets on site, but bears are a constant issue at this campground.
