Camping at Gallinas Campground Upper
This campground lies inside Spring Canyon, and the upper portions of this watershed were severely burned during the Silver Fire in 2013. Although this area is healing, flooding could occur in heavy rains.
There are only three campsites here.
Gallinas Campground Upper is known for its babbling brook and the sounds of hooting owls at night. There are coyotes that prowl through here, and you will hear them at night. Make sure to keep your dog on a leash when walking them at night.
Though it’s small, campsites here are larger than other nearby campgrounds. You can generally get an average-sized motorhome in here or a medium-sized trailer. Full-sized fifth wheel trailers may have trouble making the turnaround if the campground is full.
