Camping at Gobbler’s Knob Yellow Post Site
This campsite was initially created for hikers navigating the Pacific Coast Trail, but it is still reachable via 4WD vehicle. The road up here is bumpy and rocky, and not really suitable for trailers or motorhomes. There are also places along the road where it gets narrow.
Yet, it’s still a popular destination just because it sits up high and offers a great view of Mt. Baldy. It’s not really a great campsite to remain for several days because many hikers traveling Pacific Coast Trail make plans to set up camp here.
There are no restroom facilities here, you will have to either bring a shovel and dig a hole, or have your own porta-potty, if your vehicle does not have its own toilet.
