Free Camping Along the Klamath River

Gottville River Access is a free, developed campground offered by Klamath National Forest. It's primarily used as a launch point for river rafters and kayakers. It's a small campground with room for only cars, vans, and pickup truck campers. Trailers and motorhomes will not fit here. Even at that, there's only room for a two or three vehicles tops.

Camping at Gottville River Access

Located along Klamath River Highway (CA-96), access to this campground is along a paved road, suitable for any 2WD vehicle. It’s located about 19.5 miles from Yreka, CA.

Gottville River Access has a sandy road and a concrete ADA accessible side walk to the water’s edge. There is a ADA accessible restroom, parking area and dispersed camping area.

There are no trash cans on site.
