Camping at Grandview Campground
Nestled in low hills covered with Pinyon and Juniper, Grandview Campground is a popular destination for star gazers due to its low-light pollution and 8,600 feet elevation. It’s also the nearest campground to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, just 5 miles to Schulman Grove.
Access into the campground is all on paved road, starting at CA-168, then heading north along White Mountain Road for 5.3 miles to the campground. The route is steep in places, and there is a small section where the road narrows to a single lane. Even though motorhomes and trucks towing trailers can fit into the campground, there are some twisty curves that may make the drive difficult.
There is a donation box at the campground with a suggested donation of $10.00.
