Camping at Hotelling Campground

Access to Hotelling Campground starts at the town of Somes Bar along CA-96. Take Salmon River Rd for 20.8 miles to the campground. This road changes names to Cecilville Road once you enter the town of Cecilville. The entire route is paved.

This is a small campground intended for single vehicles like SUVs, vans, and pickup truck campers, though there is room to back in a 20 foot trailer or smaller. The sites are close together, though very few people end up camping here.

The town of Somes Bar offers a small grocery store, and the town of Cecilville has a tavern and a gas station. Otherwise, Hotelling Campground is mostly a destination for salmon fishermen.
