Camping at Little Egypt

Little Egypt is a great place to camp if you just need a place for the night or plan to explore the entire area for weeks. No facilities, good access. Not too close to the highway. Traffic on the highway typically stops at dark. If you plan to explore Poison Springs Canyon across the highway you will find hundreds of Petroglyphs and even Butch Cassidys signature. Good place to camp if you are planning to visit Leprechaun slot canyon. A trip to the top of the Henry Mountains is just minutes away. Lots of Deer, Elk and even a huge heard of Bison on the SW side of the Henrys.

Bull Creek Pass Backcountry Byway

This remote BLM Byway is a single-lane road for 68 miles with a dirt surface. There are numerous rough sections, steep grades, and blind curves. The route ascends from the desert floor, traversing badlands, and buttes, canyons and cliffs, through slopes of spruce and ponderosa to the alpine elevations of Bull Creek Pass. The wildlife match its diversity. Mule Deer, antelope, bighorn sheep, mountain lion and bison all inhabit the Henry Mountains. Developed campgrounds are on the byway at McMillan Springs campground and just north of it at Lonesome Beaver Campground.
