Camping at Spring-on-the-Bluff
The road leading to here is rocky and bumpy, and there are places where you’ll encounter soft sand, requiring a 4WD vehicle. It’s best suited for trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps. Trailers can be pulled here, but nothing larger than 28 feet because the turnaround at the end won’t accommodate anything larger.
This area is mostly known as a destination for hikers and photographers. There is a trail that leads from the campsite heading east and then down into the river. It’s a great place to watch birds and small wildlife.
In our experience, camping here is quite tranquil, with hardly anyone coming here. We found the sounds of the river to be very relaxing, creating for pleasant white-noise while going to sleep at night.
