Camping at Sulphur Springs Campground

Access to Sulphur Springs Campground starts in the town of Happy Camp. From there, take Elk Creek Road south, and cross over Klamath River. It’s a 13 mile drive to the campground. The road is mostly improved with gravel, but there are places where its just dirt, and there are potholes and ruts in other places. 2WD vehicles are fine.

This campground cannot accommodate trailers. It’s strictly just single vehicles at the parking area. Campers with trailers or larger vehicles will have to use Norcross Campground just another mile south.

One of the main attractions of Sulphur Springs Campground is a warm springs located along Elk Creek. The temperature of the springs is approximately 75 degrees and can accommodate five or six people at one time. There is also trout fishing in Elk Creek.
