Camping at White River Campground

Popular among trout fishermen seeking catch from White River, this campground provides a convenient location with relatively easy access, located only 40 miles south west of Ely, NV.

Access begins along US-6, then branching off at White River Road and heading towards the mountains. This road becomes Forest Road 405. There are dozens of dispersed campsites along this road before reaching the campground, many of which are occupied by fisherman during the height of the spawning season.

Forest Road 405 is firm-packed gravel, suitable for any 2WD vehicle. While the campground is not large enough for most trailers and motorhomes, the road remains driveable for RVs, and there are many previously-used campsites before reaching the campground that can accommodate larger vehicles.
