Jack Creek Campground, Owyhee, NV
Jack Creek Campground is a free, developed campground offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. There are six campsites plus one or two more dispersed camping sites nearby. Vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. It's a remote campground located 64 miles north of Elko, NV, and about 46 miles south of Owyhee, NV.
Pavlak Campground, Jarbidge, NV
Pavlak Campground is a free, dispersed camping area offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. It's located on Forest Road 062, about 300 feet north of where it intersects with Forest Road 064. There is a vault toilet on site, and that's about it. There's room for two campsites, with a small site next to the toilet, and larger back-in site.
Slide Creek Campground, Jarbidge, NV
Slide Creek Campground is a free, developed campground offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. It has six (6) pull-through sites large enough for 25 foot trailers on hard-packed, level ground. There are no hookups, only a vault toilet, and horse corrals. It's primarily used for hikers and horseback riders wanting to explore Jarbridge Wilderness.
Sawmill Campground, Jarbidge, NV
Sawmill Campground is a free, developed campground offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. With only five campsites, sized for small to medium-sized vehicles and trailers, it's a cozy, somewhat cramped environment, but it places very close to the touristy area of Jarbridge, only 0.8 miles from the town saloon.
Pine Creek Campground, Jarbidge, NV
Pine Creek Campground is a free, developed campground offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. It's small, with only five sites for cars, vans, and pickup trucks, but it also has a pull-through site large enough for medium-sized rigs. It has basic amenities with picnic tables and vault toilets. The campground is only open from June to October as weather and conditions allow.
White River Campground, Ely, NV
White River Campground is a free, developed campground offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, There are officially five (5) campsites, though there appears to be a couple of other previously-used campsites along the forest road. Sites here are small, suitable only for vans, SUVs, and pickup trucks, though trailers under 20 feet could fit in a couple of the sites.
Kalamazoo Campground, Ely, NV
Kalamazoo Campground is a free, developed campground offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. It's a small campground with four sites, each with picnic tables, fire rings, cooking grills, and there is a single vault toilet. It's located along Kalamazoo Road, right along the banks of Kalamazoo Creek, and the northern boundary of Schell Range.
Berry Creek Dispersed Campground, Ely, NV
Berry Creek Campground is a free, dispersed camping area offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. While it's identified as a dispersed camping area, there are picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets here. The campground is small, suitable for four to six sites, though there are numerous other sites along Forest Road 424 along the way.
Centerville Flat Dispersed Campground, Markleeville, CA
Centerville Flat Dispersed Campground is a free, dispersed camping area offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The only amenities found here are vault toilets. There are no trash cans either. Otherwise this is strictly a designated boondocking area where camping is allowed anywhere.
Upper Virginia Creek Primitive Campground, Lee Vining, CA
Upper Virginia Creek Primitive Campground is a free, developed campground operated by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. It's smaller than its sister campground at Lower Virginia Creek (see nearby campsites below), but closer to the village of Virginia Lakes. The campground offers fire rings, vault toilet, and bear proof storage boxes.
