Below the Dam, Palisades, ID
"Below the Dam" is a popular boondocking area along the Snake River, within the Palisades Ranger District of Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Located on the other side of the river from the town of Palisades, this designated dispersed camping area has room for dozens of full-sized RVs, some shaded by trees, and other right along the banks of the river.
Catfish Creek, Haines City, FL
Catfish Creek is a free, recreation area, managed by South Florida Water Management District. Camping is allowed here. It's primarily popular with hikers and horseback riders, and is a great location for kayaks, canoes, and airboats. Much of the dry ground can get soggy during rains and turns into a marsh.

Town of KICCO Campsite is a free, developed campground offered by South Florida Water Management District. It's one of five campsites located within the KICCO Wildlife Management Area (WMA). This particular campsite is the largest of the five, and the most popular. It has room for full-sized RVs, and offers fishing off the banks of the Kissimmee.

Allapattah Flats Campground is a free, developed campground operated by South Florida Water Management District. A free "Special Use License" is required to camp here. Vehicles are not allowed into the campground, but there is small parking lot adjacent to it. You must hike your tent and camping gear in.
Cowboy Camp, Clearlake, CA
Cowboy Camp is a free, developed campground offered by Ukiah Field Office of California, Bureau of Land Management. It was originally intended as an equestrian camp with 27 total sites, but is frequently-used by fulltime RVers and road nomads. The campground comes with fire pits and vault toilets.
Bogard Campground, Susanville, CA
Bogard Campground is a free, developed campground offered by Lassen National Forest. Located 1.75 miles off Highway 44, it's also about 28 miles west of Susanville. It is accessed via a dirt road and is about 2 miles to the nearest paved road. High clearance vehicle recommended but not necessary. 4WD not necessary.
