Burns Creek Road, Poplar, ID
Burns Creek Road (also named E Heise Rd on other maps) runs through BLM land and offers a few previously-used campsites along the river's edge. Some of these sites can accommodate large RVs, but some will require you to back-in, though there's at least one or two sites that pull-through.
Indian Rocks Petroglyph Site, McCammon, ID
Indian Rocks Petroglyph Site is free, dispersed camping area managed by the Bureau of Land Management. It's attraction is a group of boulders with ancient petroglyphs. The site was once home to a developed campground operated as a state park, but was since acquired by the BLM. The developed campground is still there, but no longer maintained. Camping is still allowed as first-come, first serve.
Silver Creek (North & South), Carey, ID
Silver Creek has two campground units, one called "North" and the other called "South". near Highway 93, downstream of the Nature Conservancy’s Silver Creek Preserve. Silver Creek offers good trout fishing, picnicking and camping. Located off Highway 93 about 5 miles south of Carey, 16 miles northeast of Richfield, and 34 miles northeast of Shoshone.
Joshua Tree South BLM (West), Chiriaco Summit, CA
Joshua Tree South BLM is a popular dispersed camping area managed by the Bureau of Land Management and located right at the southern entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. This "West" area refers to the lands west of Cottonwood Springs Rd, which tends to have more dispersed camping areas than the "East" side.
Imperial Dam LTVA, Winterhaven, CA
Imperial Dam LTVA is one of eight Long Term Visitor Areas operated by the Bureau of Land Management. It's one of the few that is NOT free, during any time of the year. However, the price is cheap enough during the winter season that it might be considered "almost free". Imperial Dam LTVA has potable water, a dump station, and trash dumpsters.
Sidewinder Road, Ogilby, CA
Sidewinder Road runs through the ghost town of Ogilby and into lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management. This is a popular boondocking area during the winter months. There is enough open space to accommodate hundreds of full-sized RVs. BLM officials "do" patrol this area during the winter months to enforce occupancy rules.
