This county park is located about a mile from Interstate 10, and offers free camping by permit only. The permit can be obtained for free from the County by calling the phone number above, then e-mailing a photo of your driver's license, and receiving an e-mail with your permit.

Job Beason Park, Anahuac, TX

This small park is largely a boat ramp with a large parking lot. There is a small playground, and a large pavilion, but all camping is limited to grassy areas, and only areas where the grass is thin, or in previously-used camping areas. Camping is by permit only, and the permit is free.

Double Bayou Park, Anahuac, TX

Double Bayou Park is located along East Fork Double Bayou, about seven miles south of the town of Anahuac. It's known mostly as a launch point for small boats, but also as a site for group events. Camping is allowed by permit only, and you can get the permit for free.

Fort Anahuac Park, Anahuac, TX

Fort Anahuac Park is owned and operated by the County of Chambers as Fort Anhuac Park, a multi-purpose facility with four baseball parks as its anchor. Free camping is allowed here but requires a permit which you can obtain from the County for free, but with a maximum of three (3) days.

White’s Park Arena Campground

This campground is part of the White's Park Rodeo Arena, originally intended to support rodeo participants and their living quarters horse trailers. It has since been taken over by full time RVers. There are no hookups, but it comes with picnic tables, trash cans, and a restroom facility.
