Indian Creek Dispersed Area, Palisades, ID
Camping at Indian Creek Dispersed Area Indian Creek is one of several designated dispersed camping areas along Palisades Reservoir. It’s situated in a scenic valley with forested hillsides rising from the water and towering up towards snow-capped mountains. The reservoir has about 70 miles of shoreline and six access roads have been built. Public use facilities include five campgrounds, five picnic areas, and six boat ramps. Two boat clubs have facilities on the reservoir and private cabins have been constructed under permit from the Forest Service. Below the Dam, Palisades, ID
"Below the Dam" is a popular boondocking area along the Snake River, within the Palisades Ranger District of Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Located on the other side of the river from the town of Palisades, this designated dispersed camping area has room for dozens of full-sized RVs, some shaded by trees, and other right along the banks of the river.
