Boondocking in New Jersey!

Boondocking in New Jersey is difficult to come by due to the lack of federal recreation lands. Sandy Hooky National Seashore does have campgrounds, but not dispersed camping. Even though New Jersey maintains a series of state forests, they don’t allow dispersed camping anywhere. Most boondockers generally rely on finding secluded sites within the state forest system and try to evade notice from forest rangers.
